U.S. Olympic Trials finalist Trevor Bassitt offers his reaction to watching Karsten Warholm of Norway and Rai Benjamin of the U.S. run the two fastest times in world history in the Olympic finals of the men's 400-meter hurdles. Warholm ran 45.94 to peel three-quarters of a second off his world record and Rai Benjamin ran 46.17 for the silver medal.

I called the 45.9 but the wrong winner. I called the 21.5 with Thompson and I'm calling a 51.3 for Sydney in the 400H and it is 2:23pm PST. Its not the MONDO track its the heat and humidity. Blood cells boil in the heat and night races are much faster. The fast track is the German model Regupol. There were (6) 9.8's or less in two semi's in the 100. The final Bolt went 9.58, Gay 9.71, Powell 9.84, Bailey 9.93 Thompson 9.93, Chambers 10.00
